Another one I could of put up earlier this year! I need to get blogging more frequently, seems like I'm making up for it today! I shot the promo shots of Meera Syal for the program on BBC 2 'A World of Pain - Meera Syal on Self Harm'.
I have no idea why I haven't put these up sooner! The program has been showing since July! Well here are a couple of the promo shots for Underage And Pregnant on BBC 3. You can see more on my actual website (not quite yet though, I am hoping to launch my new site next week). It was so interesting to meet all of the young girls, they were really welcoming and were up for several hours of shooting together. I even revisited a few of the girls once they'd had their babies, I felt like I was visiting a friend to check up on her new arrival! It was such a good opportunity to meet these girls from all over the UK, to get an insight of their everyday lives. If you haven't seen the series, I recommend that you do.
Did you see the first episode of Jimmy's Food Factory on BBC 1 the other day? It's really interesting! 'Science series in which farmer Jimmy Doherty asks what really goes into supermarket food.' He made his breakfast cereal from scratch! What an effort! I shot the promo shots for the program during the Summer, Jimmy and the team were very accommodating.
I shot the Beastie Boys for a feature for Clash Magazine during the Summer, they were really nice guys and were extremely easy to work with - just shows their shooting experience throughout the years!
When we shot Mary Jane for WIABshe also asked us to photograph her for her trip around Britain which she explains here. Once again Madworld came to the rescue by lending us the union jack cape that MJ is wearing as a skirt.
